Residents understand their surroundings through everyday experience. Combined with suitable digital tools, this knowledge can support collective observation, documentation and meaningful participation.
Initiatives such as AIγαίο and the Cyclades Waste Observatory provide a starting point for exploring how mapping, photographic records, data and AI can connect people with their surroundings. We emphasise privacy and the distinction between an observation, an automated assessment and verified information.
AIγαίο is an initiative of Cyclades Innovation Center, with technological support from Paros Innovation Center. Each partner’s contribution is identified separately in individual project presentations.
