PAROS INNOVATION CENTER — Version 1.0
PAROS INNOVATION CENTER aims to provide a safe, creative and modern learning environment in which students can experiment, create, collaborate and develop skills in science, technology, engineering, programming, artificial intelligence, robotics and digital fabrication.
Students should arrive on time. Parents and guardians are responsible for the safe arrival and departure of minors unless a different arrangement has been agreed with the school office. Students must not leave the premises during a lesson without informing the instructor.
If a student cannot attend a lesson, advance notice to the Center is encouraged. Absences may be recorded in the School Management System. Make-up lessons are not automatically available and depend on the program, capacity and Center schedule.
Every student has the right to learn in an environment free from bullying, insults, discrimination, violence or harassment. Respect is expected towards other students, instructors, staff, visitors and equipment. Serious or repeated incidents may result in parental notification and appropriate educational or organizational measures.
Equipment may be used only in accordance with instructor directions. Devices requiring increased care, including 3D printers, CNC equipment, lasers, electronic tools, thermal or other laboratory instruments, vacuum systems and robotic systems, may be used only with authorization and appropriate supervision.
Safety instructions are mandatory when using 3D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters and other fabrication equipment. The instructor determines which equipment may be used directly by students and which may be operated only by staff. Manufacturing illegal, dangerous or harmful items is prohibited.
When robots or other moving systems are operating, students must remain within safety boundaries set by the instructor. Actions that may cause injury, collision or equipment damage are prohibited.
Center computers and networks are for approved educational use only. Unauthorized attempts to access accounts, devices, networks or third-party data are prohibited. In cybersecurity, penetration-testing or digital-forensics classes, techniques may be practiced only in controlled educational environments and on systems for which explicit authorization exists.
Artificial-intelligence tools may be used for learning in accordance with instructor guidance. Students are encouraged to critically evaluate AI output and not assume it is automatically correct. Personal data, passwords, confidential information or third-party data must not be entered into public AI services without authorization.
Virtual, augmented and mixed-reality equipment must be used according to instructor guidance and for periods appropriate to the age and activity. A student must stop immediately and inform the instructor if dizziness, discomfort or another symptom occurs.
Students are responsible for personal belongings brought to the Center. Valuable items that are not required for a lesson should not be brought to class. Mobile phones may be used during lessons only when part of an educational activity or when approved by the instructor.
Photographs or video of students for public presentation or promotion are used only where the required authorization exists. Students must not photograph or record other students and publish the material without permission. Consent for promotional use of an image is separate from acceptance of these Regulations.
Students retain recognition for their creative contribution to projects. PAROS INNOVATION CENTER may present educational projects, constructions or group outcomes for educational and informational purposes while taking appropriate measures to protect student personal data.
Some classes may participate in competitions, presentations, visits, events or other external activities. Parents are informed in advance where travel or special participation is required, and the necessary consent is requested where applicable.
Parents or guardians should inform the Center of information that is materially relevant to a child’s safe participation in a specific activity. Such information is treated confidentially and used only as necessary. In an emergency, staff act with the student’s safety as the priority and contact the parent or guardian as soon as reasonably possible.
Normal wear or an accident occurring during proper participation in an educational activity is treated as part of laboratory operation. Deliberate damage, malicious conduct or equipment use in clear violation of safety instructions may be reviewed by management and discussed with the parent or guardian.
Tuition fees: The total tuition fee for the eight-month academic programme is €480 (8 months × €60), payable in eight monthly instalments of €60. Tuition is calculated on the basis of the total programme cost, not the number of individual lessons in each month.
Payments may be made online through a payment provider or at the school, in cash or by card.
The financial conditions of each program are communicated at enrollment. If a parent wishes to withdraw a student, the school office must be notified so that the withdrawal date can be formally recorded. Financial transactions up to the withdrawal date and any other obligations are governed by the financial conditions communicated for the relevant program.
For important matters concerning attendance, conduct, safety or finance, the Center communicates with the parent or guardian using the registered contact details. Parents should inform the school office when their email address, telephone number or another key contact detail changes.
Electronic acceptance through the Parent Portal is recorded together with the current version and the date and time of acceptance. Continued attendance requires compliance with these Regulations. A new acceptance may be requested after a material change.
