Paros Innovation Center successfully participated in the European Space Agency (ESA) Teach with Space Online Conference 2026, reinforcing its commitment to continuous professional development and to bringing high-quality, contemporary STEM knowledge and educational practices to the children and young people of Paros.
The sixth edition of the international conference, organised by ESA Education, took place on 8–9 July 2026 and brought together 580 teachers and professional educators from ESA Member and Associate Member States and Canada. The programme focused on innovative ways of using space science, technology and real ESA missions as powerful tools for teaching Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
Throughout the two-day conference, participants had the opportunity to learn directly from ESA experts and explore subjects including Earth observation, space exploration, satellite communications, artificial intelligence and enabling technologies, the study of the Sun, the search for life beyond Earth and the future of space transportation.
The conference also presented practical educational activities, interdisciplinary projects and classroom-ready resources developed by ESA and the European Space Education Resource Office (ESERO) network, while offering educators opportunities to exchange knowledge and experiences with colleagues from across Europe.
For Paros Innovation Center, participation in initiatives of this level forms part of a broader and continuous educational strategy.
Our goal is not simply to follow developments in science and technology, but to ensure that the knowledge, educational methodologies and inspiration generated by leading European scientific organisations can reach the classroom and, ultimately, the children of Paros.
Living on an island should never mean being distant from knowledge, innovation or opportunity.
Through the continuous training of our educators, participation in international educational programmes and the development of new STEM activities, Paros Innovation Center seeks to create a direct bridge between Paros and the European scientific and technological ecosystem.
Knowledge acquired through programmes such as ESA Teach with Space will be incorporated into future educational activities of the Center, giving students the opportunity to approach subjects such as space, robotics, programming, artificial intelligence, engineering and Earth observation not only theoretically, but through experimentation, projects and hands-on learning.
At Paros Innovation Center, we believe that educators must remain learners themselves.
Science and technology evolve rapidly. Maintaining a modern educational environment therefore requires continuous learning, evaluation of new tools and methodologies, and active participation in communities where knowledge is being created and shared.
Our long-term objective remains clear: to give children growing up on Paros access to learning experiences, knowledge and opportunities comparable to those available in major educational and technological centres in Greece and across Europe.
Participation in the ESA Teach with Space Online Conference 2026 is another step in that direction.
From Europe’s space missions to a classroom on a Cycladic island, knowledge has no geographical boundaries.
