About Course
“Robotics for Elementary School Students” is an engaging and hands-on course designed to introduce young learners to the exciting world of robotics and coding. Starting in September 2024 and concluding in June 2025, this course will guide students through the fundamentals of computer programming using the versatile microbit microprocessor.
Students will begin their journey with block-based programming, a visual and intuitive approach that makes coding accessible and fun. As they build confidence, they will transition to Python, a powerful text-based programming language, to deepen their understanding and expand their capabilities.
Throughout the course, students will engage in a variety of hands-on projects, including circuit prototyping with various electronic components. These projects will help them grasp essential concepts in electronics and coding while sparking their creativity.
Additionally, students will explore and program educational robotics platforms like Maqueen and Kitronik, providing them with practical experience in robotics. These activities will not only enhance their technical skills but also encourage problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation.
By the end of the course, students will have developed a solid foundation in both coding and robotics, empowering them with the skills and confidence to continue exploring technology in the future. This course is perfect for elementary school students eager to dive into the world of robotics and coding in a fun, supportive, and stimulating environment.
