The micro:bit V2 Go Bundle contains everything you need to get started with micro:bit right away. It consists of a BBC micro:bit V2, a 15cm USB cable, a battery case and 2 x AAA batteries. The USB cable allows you to connect the micro:bit to a computer. The battery case and batteries allow you to power the BBC micro:bit as soon as you disconnect it from the USB.

The new micro:bit V2 is the latest version of the beloved powerful palm-sized, fully programmable computer. Created by the BBC to encourage children to be actively involved in writing software and building new things to be controlled by it. The V2 is the same size, shape and functions as the original micro:bit. So, if you’ve used the former, then this one will be instantly familiar to you. Write your code using one of the handy editors provided on the micro:bit website, connect the BBC microbit to your computer via USB, press the download button on the editor, then download the file to the micro:bit.

The BBC micro:bit is the spiritual successor to the BBC Micro of the 1980s, which introduced a generation of children to computing. The BBC micro:bit continues this decade of 30 years of tradition and does so 18 times faster and is also 70 times smaller than its predecessor.
